Election Day is Saturday, May 10

Polls open Saturday morning on Election Day in the mayoral and District 6 races in Georgetown.

Candidates George Garver and Doug Smith are competing in the mayoral race, and in the District 6 race, the candidates are Randall Craig and Dale Ross. Gabe Sansing, the incumbent, is running unopposed in the District 2 race.

Voting is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the precinct location, which is listed on the Voting Locations page.

Election results will be posted on the Williamson County Elections page.

The election results will be canvassed and the new mayor and council member from District 6 will be sworn in at a special meeting of the city council on Wednesday, May 14. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Council Chamber and Courts Building, located at 101 E. Seventh Street.

Georgetown city council members serve three-year terms representing one of seven single-member districts. The mayor also serves a three-year term and is elected at-large.
