Garver Wins Mayoral Election, Ross Wins Dist 6
George Garver has won the mayoral race and Dale Ross won the District 6 council race, according to final, unofficial results from Williamson County Elections. Gabe Sansing was unopposed for the District 2 seat. Below are May 10 election results for City of Georgetown races, with 100 percent of precincts reporting.
City of Georgetown Mayor:
Doug Smith, 2,152 votes (39 percent)
George Garver, 3,436 votes (61 percent)
City of Georgetown Council Member District 2:
Gabe Sansing, 145 votes (100 percent)
City of Georgetown Council Member District 6:
Dale Ross, 152 votes (53 percent)
Randall Craig, 134 votes (47 percent)

Updated: The meeting to canvass the election results and to swear in George Garver, Dale Ross, and Gabe Sansing will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20. The meeting will be held at the Council Chamber and Courts Building, located at 101 E. Seventh Street.
Georgetown city council members serve three-year terms representing one of seven single-member districts. The mayor also serves a three-year term and is elected at-large.
