Pets of the Week

Dee Dee
I’m a striking Weimaraner mix with lots of energy. My previous owner said I was an escape artist, so my ideal family will let me be an inside dog with regular exercise. I’m friendly and playful with children (too much so for small ones), and I like other dogs.
UPDATE: Shortly after my debut as Pet of the Week, I was adopted by a nice couple with another dog!
If you’re looking for a great dog to bring up to be part of the family, please come visit me at the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter.

Fifi
My name is Fifi (but I’m really from Texas, not France). My person had to give me up and was really sad about it.
I am declawed (ouch!) so have to be an inside cat. My previous person describes me as affectionate and friendly to family but a little shy around visitors. I like to chase bugs and moths.
Please come meet me at the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter.

Tux
I’m a splendid-looking tuxedo cat, neutered and ready for a lap to call my own. I’m about 6 months old.

Chip
I’m a chocolate Lab mix, neutered, of course. I would dearly love a home and family to love in my golden years.

I am a cool neutered Domestic Short Hair, about a year old, mostly white with some orange. If you’re looking for a nice feline companion, I’m the one for you.

Lolita
I am a beautiful and loving cat, if I do say so myself. The shelter staff lets me have the run of the place because they know they can trust me. I like kids, other cats, and even dogs!

Ani & Maxwell
Our folks had to give us up when they moved into a retirement home. They were sad to say good-bye but knew that the shelter staff would find a new home for us. We both had interesting lives when we were puppies.
Ani: Some ski bums left their apartment at the end of ski season without paying rent. They also left me locked in there without food or water. I’m about 7 years old now, female.
Maxwell: During the holidays a few years ago, there was a fire in Austin in some university students’ apartments. Two boys and a girl died. I belonged with one of the boys. I’m four years old, male.
We’re used to each other but don’t have to be adopted together.
UPDATE: We both found lovely homes with other dogs and nice people!
Please come meet us at the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter.
